Bibhiam Cabral, owner of Beyond the Sesh, is a licensed therapist in D.C. and Virginia. It was clear from the start that she recognized the value of strong design and didn't think twice about taking the steps to have that for her brand. Prior to working with Teak & Ink, she did not have a fully developed brand system and was DIYing a site through Squarespace. Although the site was clean and aesthetically pleasing, it lacked the clarity and structure needed to fully support her practice.
Bibhiam reached out to Teak & Ink because she was looking to create a more cohesive brand for her practice.

With the brand identity complete, we developed the collateral design including business card, brochure, social media templates, email newsletter, and a custom website, each designed to ensure consistency across every brand touchpoint.
A review of Bibhiam's moodboard and inspiration pins showed a strong presence of botanical, earthy visuals mixed with minimalist elements. This was interpreted as a brand that is grounded, warm, culturally rich, and approachable.
With the color palette established, we moved into designing a logo that was not only symbolic but visually captured the essence of her practice. The logomark consists of a figure of a woman with a crown above her head, between butterfly wings. The font, Melodrama, was specifically selected by Bibhiam due to its modern feel and versatility.
